Common Questions
Is the scholarship really free?
Yes. FightState Foundation pays the gym directly for a full one-year membership. There is zero cost to the youth or their family.
How many scholarships do you give?
It depends on how much we’ve raised. The more donations we receive, the more youth we can fund. There is no fixed number.
What should the video include?
Tell us who you are, which registered FSF partner gym you want to attend, and why you want this scholarship. 2–3 minutes. Film on any phone. Just be yourself.
Are videos made public automatically?
No. All submitted videos are reviewed privately by FSF staff. Nothing is posted publicly without explicit FSF approval and a signed parental media release.
Why does a parent need to sign a media release?
Because applicants are minors, we require written parental permission before sharing any video publicly. No content is shared without a signed release. Removal can be requested at any time by emailing info@fightstatefoundation.org.
Can the youth pick any gym?
The gym named must be a registered FSF partner gym. If their preferred gym isn’t registered, contact us — we’ll reach out to that gym about joining our network.
How does the gym get paid?
Once a scholarship is awarded, FSF pays the gym directly for the one-year membership. The youth attends and trains at no cost to their family.
How do gyms join the partner network?
Gyms complete the registration form on our Apply & Register page. We review and list approved gyms as official FSF partners within 5 business days.
